White Peony (Bai Mu Dan)
White Peony is one of the more flavorful white teas available. Due to it's high level of flavor relative to other white teas, we highly recommend it to those indulging in white tea for the first time. White Peony has a subtle floral aroma while maintaining a level of sweetness. Due to it's processing, it's also has an absence of astringency if brewed properly. This tea is lower in caffeine content, making it an excellent choice for an afternoon or evening tea.
White tea is named for its production method, which distinctly separates it from other tea varieties. The buds are plucked prior to opening. The tea is slightly oxidized from laying in the sun for a brief period of one to three days.
